Position Summary
The Director of Enrollment Management and Outreach manages the day-to-day functions of the School of Professional Studies (SPS) overall enrollment and outreach. The Director of Enrollment Management and Outreach reports to the Dean, SPS.
The School of Professional Studies (SPS) provides educational opportunities for adults wanting to earn an undergraduate, graduate and doctoral degrees in non-traditional formats. The School of Professional Studies also offers personal development and continuing education opportunities through the office of Professional and Continuing Education (PaCE).

Description of Job Duties
  • Develop, implement, and oversee the execution of a multi-year and annual comprehensive enrollment plan with appropriate goals that include strategies to recruit, enroll and retain undergraduate, transfer, and graduate students.
  • Manage and implement enrollment reporting and projections.
  • Oversee all aspects of admissions; provide leadership and coordination for a comprehensive enrollment management strategy that is consistent with the goals, mission, and resources of the SPS and is consistent with current issues and trends facing enrollment management including admission, outreach and retention.
  • Collect, analyze, and present data needed for policy implementation, decision-making, and project/program development implementation; prepare comprehensive reports, proposals, and presentations; and ensure planning for key committees.
  • Develop broad and collegial relationships with stakeholders on campus, community colleges, military, K-12 schools, and community organizations.
  • Develop innovative methods to communicate with prospective students.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive group of outreach programs and services which meet campus and regional needs.
  • Develop and implement social media and technological solutions appropriate for outreach to provide state of the art service delivery.
  • Develop measurable annual and long-term goals associated with each outreach program and provide assessment on progress.
  • Develop annual admissions, predictive models and budgets; build, lead and motivate the appropriate teams to ensure that enrollment goals are met; develop and implement an integrated marketing plan in partnership with internal and external stakeholders and collaborate with faculty and others to achieve enrollment goals.
  • Lead strategy and execution on new market development.
  • Facilitate communication with Office of Digital Marketing and Strategy to ensure appropriate strategies to market SPS programs to various constituents; implement target market segments.
  • Lead targeted recruitment and enrollment efforts for military-affiliated students, including active-duty service members, veterans, and their families, while fostering partnerships with military bases and support organizations.
  • Continuously identify new opportunities for partnerships, outreach programs and services.
  • Assist in development of print materials, websites and social media tools which support outreach efforts.
  • Develop processes to provide responses to inquiries from students, parents, and other community members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Strong analytical skill and an ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing in a dynamic and challenging environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
  • Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.
Required Education
Master’s Degree.
Required Work Experience
  • Eight (8) years of enrollment management experience in private, public sector or higher education to include working with professional and support staff to implement and manage projects and programs.
  • Three (3) years of experience supervising professional level employees.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Spanish language.
  • Experience working with professional and continuing education programs in higher education, non-profit, or governmental organization.

Work Hours
Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm with extended hours as needed, especially during peak periods, to meet departmental goals.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift to 15 lbs for set-up/tear-down at events, as well as reach overhead, bend, and squat to retrieve promotional materials.
  • Ability to push/pull event carts weighing up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to actively engage in events for extended periods.
  • Ability to regularly move about campus, military bases, and event venues to actively engage potential and current students and attend meetings on and off campus.
