Job Description Summary
The Director of BentleyPlus is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the BentleyPlus competency development program. This program empowers college students to enhance their skills, strengths, and competencies beyond the classroom. The Director collaborates with faculty, staff, and external partners to create a transformative experience for Bentley students. The Director supervises the Assistant Director of BentleyPlus.Essential Duties:
Program Leadership:
- Develop and implement a forward-thinking strategic vision for BentleyPlus, aligning it with the university’s mission and student development goals with a core focus on student wellbeing.
- Lead a dynamic team of assistant director, advisors, and student ambassadors to ensure program success.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within BentleyPlus.
Student Engagement:
- Engage with students to understand their needs, aspirations, and competency development goals.
- Provide personalized guidance to students on selecting relevant opportunities (workshops, leadership roles, activities, etc.) that align with their desired competencies.
- Promote active student participation in BentleyPlus through workshops, events, and outreach.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with academic departments, career services, student employment and campus organizations to integrate BentleyPlus into the overall student experience.
- Partner with colleagues within the Division of Student Affairs to build BentleyPlus into the student employment opportunities within the division.
- Support advising partners across Bentley with robust training and foster meaningful engagement opportunities.
Assessment and Evaluation:
- Develop innovative assessment tools to measure student competencies and program effectiveness.
- Analyze data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and success stories.
- Use assessment results to enhance program offerings and student outcomes.
Marketing and Outreach:
- Creatively promote BentleyPlus through various channels (website, social media, campus events).
- Build relationships with faculty, staff, and external stakeholders to raise awareness of the program.
- Showcase inspiring student success stories and testimonials to highlight BentleyPlus’s values.
Student Well-being:
- Integrate well-being initiatives into BentleyPlus, emphasizing physical, emotional, and social health.
- Collaborate with counseling services, health centers, and wellness programs to support students’ holistic well-being.
Budget Management:
- Manage the program budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Seek external funding opportunities and grants to support program growth.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in student development, career services, or related roles.
- Strong understanding of competency-based education and experiential learning.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
- Passion for empowering students and fostering their personal and professional growth.
