Summary of Job Duties:

The Diesel Technology Extra Help - Teaching Assistant is responsible for the below listed job duties. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency policy.
• Assist Diesel faculty in providing feedback to students related to their performance and learning outcomes
• Assist diesel faculty with setting up training on simulators, scan tools, and machines
• Assist faculty with student training and class management
• Assist Diesel faculty with hands-on training of students
• Assist with keeping the Diesel area clean and in working order
• Manage students to ensure uniforms are in use and safety is followed
• Assist with equipment and communication
• Support a positive and professional teaching and learning environment
• Other duties as assigned by Diesel faculty
• Support the UA-PTC mission and student success

Qualifications:

  • Must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Must have knowledge and ability to run diesel equipment
