The scope of the community agriculture internship is twofold: to assist educators in Agriculture and Food Research Initiative (AFRI) Agsploration, our ongoing program in maple education; and to provide education to adults, educators, and volunteers to promote more community-based agriculture statewide. With an expanding population and diminished capacity to produce due to urbanization, water issues, etc., it is important that community members recognize there are still opportunities and ties within the community agriculture framework.
