This is an exciting opportunity to join the Rosamund Stone Zander Translational Neuroscience Center (TNC) at Boston Children's Hospital. We are seeking a full-time Clinical Research Assistant I to assist in conducting cutting-edge clinical research to improve diagnostic approaches, treatment, and outcomes for children with a range of neurodevelopmental and neuromuscular disorders. This role will work on projects, including clinical trials, longitudinal phenotyping studies in young children, remote and in-person assessments, and biomarker studies.
This Clinical Research Assistant will be responsible for:
  • Maintaining day-to-day operations of innovative clinical and research database.* Assisting the Principal Investigator and senior team leaders in the development, implementation, and coordination of research projects.
  • Developing recruitment strategies, enrolling research participants in studies, and facilitating sample collection and distribution.
  • Assisting with remote and in-person recruitment and study visits, which may include electroencephalogram (EEG) recordings, behavioral testing, treatment trials, and other measures.
  • Collecting and recording study data from participant interviews and medical records, and assisting with the development and maintenance of study files and databases.
  • Coordinating and actively participating in team meetings and coordinator conference calls.
  • Participating in activities to ensure ongoing institutional and regulatory approval of studies including IRB submissions.
  • Providing assistance to PI and project managers with compilation of study progress reports and publications.
  • Coordinating between internal and external collaborators.
In order to qualify, you must have:
  • A BA/BS degree in health, psychology or related field, with a preferred minimum of 1 year of experience in a relevant setting.
  • Experience serving as a clinical research coordinator is desired.
  • Knowledge of clinical research processes and best practices.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities, with good attention to detail.
  • The ability to take initiative and work with minimal direct supervision.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
