Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Job Summary
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for full-time, non-tenure track faculty positions as Clinical Assistant Professor of Social Work and Human Services in the Department of Social Work and Human Services with a preferred start date of August 2025. These are nine-month contracted positions. These positions are for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities
- Teaching (predominantly face-to-face modality) in:
- Undergraduate Human Services Program, such as required courses in the Human Service Major, as well as the Nonprofit Management and Child Advocacy Studies minor
- Graduate Social Work Program, such as required courses in the Generalists and Specialist areas of the curriculum.
- Service expectations (e.g., internal university community [i.e., Department, College, University, and/or University System of Georgia] and the external community or profession in relevant areas of expertise).
Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- An earned Terminal/Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Social Work, Human Services, or a related discipline (e.g., Education, Child and Youth Care, Counseling Psychology)
- MSW from a CSWE accredited Social Work program, or equivalent graduate degree in the helping professions (e.g., counseling or clinical psychology, marriage and family therapy, child and youth care)
- LMSW, LCSW, or the ability to sit for LCSW in one year or less, or equivalent professional licensure (e.g., LPC, LMFT)
Preferred Qualifications
- Evidence of scholarship/creative activities
- Experience teaching asynchronous, synchronous, or hybrid courses at the undergraduate and graduate level
- Evidence of prior post-secondary teaching at undergraduate or graduate level in Social Work, Human Services, Non-Profit Studies, and/or Child Advocacy Studies
- Post-doc experience
- Prior success in obtaining extramural funding (Non-Profit Track)
- Demonstrated record of direct practice experience in a social work, human services, non-profit, or child advocacy setting

Background Check
