Posting Summary
Perform routine to moderately complex and specialized business/accounting operations. Assist in reconciliation of purchasing card (PurCard) transactions to the general ledger. Assist in the administration of the UVM Payment Card Programs. Program management requires utilization of specialized bank credit card software. Handle a large volume of transactions each month and various report reconciliations. Provide educational assistance to campus on UVM policies, accounting system procedures, and payment card processes.
Utilize knowledge of accounting procedures, an understanding of a variety of accounting transactions to reconcile subsidiary modules to the general ledger. Communicate effectively and work cooperatively with all levels of UVM faculty and staff, with supervision from Disbursement Center PurCard team lead.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration, one to three years business / accounting experience. Good communication skills.
Ÿ Strong analytical skills for problem resolution.
Ÿ Ability to interact with many levels of University personnel.
Ÿ Ability to set priorities and monitor workload.
Desirable Qualifications
Proficient with Windows, Excel and Word software desirable.
Knowledge of PeopleSoft desirable.
Anticipated Pay Range $25 to $29/hour
Other Information
Special Conditions Bargaining unit position, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy, Background Check required for this position
