What you will be doing:

The Associate Data Scientist will help to deliver advanced analytical solutions, including programming, data mining, statistics, machine learning, and visualization techniques. This role requires familiarity with generative AI and large language models, including their application and development. Key tasks include querying databases, applying supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques, and writing clean code to train and deploy models. The role also involves deploying production models and communicating findings to stakeholders. They should have basic knowledge of AI techniques including RAG architecture, model finetuning, prompt engineering and agent frameworks.

  • Creates database-to-deployment pipelines for models using the necessary programming languages (primarily R, Python, SQL).
  • Creates sustainable data science infrastructure and adheres to data analysis/machine learning best practices.
  • Collaborates on AI technologies using generative AI techniques, including RAG architecture, model finetuning, prompt engineering and agent frameworks
  • Performs exploratory data analysis to gauge the need for or appropriateness of advanced analytical methods.
  • Works with senior or lead data scientists and business partners to identify areas where data science can best deliver value.
  • Tests and validates code to ensure robustness of data applications.

Experience Requirements:

One (1) plus years of experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical industries working with electronic medical record data. (preferred)

Machine Learning experience preferred.

Experience programming at an intermediate skill level with a high-level programming language such as R or Python. College projects may be acceptable.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics, Econometrics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, or related discipline.

Master’s degree preferred.
