Job Description:

SUNY Delhi is currently accepting applications for continuous recruitment for Adjunct Instructors in the School of Applied Technologies and Architecture . 

  • Adjunct Instructor positions are part-time
  • Listings are not current vacancies, they are applicant pools; applicant materials are reviewed on an as-needed basis and applicants are contacted when the college determines there is a need

Duties may include:

  • Developing and managing course syllabi while adhering to department and college standards
  • Collaborating with colleagues in course curriculum
  • Delivering learning-centered instruction to undergraduate students
  • Assist in the growth and success of a diverse population of students through careful preparation of course materials, effective teaching methodologies, informed critical feedback on assignments and discussions
  • Develop and adapt curriculum incorporating current technologies into the classroom or on-line learning environment (LMS)
  • Implementing school/campus academic and attendance policies
  • Pursuing knowledge of innovations and changes within subject area and field of practice
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse community and meet the needs of diverse student populations


Requirements:

  • Appropriate college level degree as determined by Dean, commensurate with level of course complexity

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's or PhD
  • Professional experience
  • License in subject area, where applicable
  • Prior teaching experience
  • Prior teaching at the collegiate level
  • Prior on-line course instruction
