Job Summary and Description
Teaching faculty are professional educators who have the primary responsibility of fulfilling the District mission of providing a quality education for all students attending the colleges. Categories include full-time, temporary with benefits, and temporary without benefits. Full-time faculty members are classified according to the ranks of Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor. Faculty members are responsible to a department/program chairperson. The relationship of the faculty member to the student is one of leader, teacher, advisor, and facilitator of learning. Faculty members will uphold the mission and values of the colleges’ and foster effective working relationships with students and colleagues.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Must have a Master's Degree in any discipline plus three years of workforce experience as a Prevention Specialist.
- Must be a Certified Prevention Specialist.
- Must reside within the greater San Antonio metropolitan Region and be willing to teach on campus.
- Must be willing to teach in multiple modalities, parts of term, and times of day (e.g., Morning, Afternoon, or Evening).
- Must be willing to complete the San Antonio College Online Teaching Certification Process.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master's Degrees in Human Services, Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or Education with a focus on Counseling.
- At least one year of clinical experience.
- Have a Quality Matters APQRM certificate 7th edition.
