About The Position:

The Department of Anthropology at SUNY Plattsburgh is seeking qualified applicants to teach general anthropology courses on a part-time basis.

Successful candidates will be committed to excellence in teaching in an institution dedicated primarily to undergraduate education. They will be expected to demonstrate an understanding of and sensitivity to diversity and gender issues, as SUNY Plattsburgh is committed to ensuring that its graduates are educated to succeed in an increasingly complex, multicultural, and interdependent world.

Required Qualifications:

Relevant M.A. Degree. Successful candidates will have demonstrated an ability to work effectively and collegially with faculty, staff, and administrators.

Preferred Qualifications:

ABD or Ph.D. in Anthropology and/or previous teaching experience.
