In this role, you will contribute to the delivery of seminars, lectures, workshops, tutorials, and dissertation guidance across our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. You will be instrumental in developing and preparing teaching materials, as well as undertaking the marking and moderation of assessments, ensuring adherence to the University's assessment and feedback regulations.
Your responsibilities will also include providing academic and pastoral support to students, monitoring their progress, and supporting small group problem classes for core modules. Additionally, you will participate in relevant meetings within the School and the wider University, undertake specific administrative functions as required and engaging in continuous professional development through participation in relevant staff development programmes.
About you
The ideal candidate will hold a Master's qualification (or equivalent experience) in a discipline-related field and possess a comprehensive knowledge of core topics within Computing and Mathematical Sciences. You should demonstrate effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to offer quality teaching and learning support to students in both group settings and on a one-to-one basis. Proven ability to deliver work to required standards in a timely manner, good interpersonal skills, and effective planning and organisational abilities are essential. Experience in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as familiarity with virtual learning platforms, is desirable.
