The Planning and Council Secretariat (PACS) team supports the University’s governance and planning processes, operates its resource allocation and internal charging mechanisms, and drives business intelligence and data governance initiatives.

About the Role
As Senior Planning Officer (Resource Allocation), you will manage and further develop computer-based data models to analyse the collegiate University’s revenue flows and resource allocations. You’ll work closely with senior staff to provide modelling required by decision-makers and support strategic planning activities across the collegiate University. Additionally, you will develop in-depth knowledge of the Section’s work and oversee data support for the University’s key decision-making committees and statutory returns to public authorities.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Holds a degree in a numerate discipline, or has equivalent experience.
- Is an expert user of Microsoft Excel and capable of managing large data sets.
- Possesses strong numerical analysis skills.
- Has expertise in various software and can quickly master new technologies.
- Can acquire detailed knowledge about complex processes and confidently guide colleagues across the University.
- Can analyse both written and numerical information, drawing inferences supported by evidence.
- Demonstrates excellent written communication skills, including the ability to present complex data processes and outcomes clearly.
- Is a good communicator and team player, able to manage their workload and meet deadlines.
