Fixed Term for 2 years from September 2025

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, collaborative, high-performing academic member of staff to contribute to our programmes in Secondary Education, and to the wider School of Education.  Leeds Trinity has a proud tradition of working in Teacher Education and our Secondary Education provision includes postgraduate programmes across a wide range of subject areas in the age phases 11-16, developed in close partnership with schools.  The Institute also has strong provision in the wider area of children, young people and families and now wants to build on the synergies between ITE and this provision to become one of the leaders in this field, delivering outstanding research and practice that positively impacts on children, young people, and families across our region.   

We are currently seeking to enhance our provision of the Modern Foreign Languages PGCE programme.  The post holder will work as part of the Secondary Education team and lead their PGCE programme.  Candidates should be able to contribute to teaching, research, curriculum development and partnership activities in the wider field of secondary education. Candidates should also be able to use their expertise to support and mentor students throughout school-based training.

This role will be located at Leeds Trinity University campus in Horsforth, Leeds/ our City Centre Campus. Through our agile working framework, there will also be the option to spend some time working remotely, which will be discussed further with candidates at interview.
