About the role
Reporting to the Director of the Oxford Institute of Technology and Justice you will contribute to research and projects conducted by the Institute.
Directed by Professor Philippa Webb (University of Oxford), the Institute aims to bring together data, knowledge and ideas in order to develop policy proposals, standards and evidence for action. It will pilot interventions in partnership in the law and tech sectors in partnership with the Clooney Foundation for Justice. The Institute will convene and sustain outstanding communities of practice that overcome existing silos and involve students and alumni.
You will support and carry out initiatives to research and conceptualize specific ways in which technology can be used to increase access to justice, accountability and advancement of international law.
This post is fixed term for 2 years and is offered on a part time basis (15 hours per week / 40% FTE).
About you
You will hold a relevant degree in public policy and/or data science or another area relevant to this post and possess sufficient specialist knowledge in technology and human rights, particularly access to justice and information.
We also require you to have a background or demonstrated interest in developing technological tools/applications.
