The Additive Manufacturing and 4D Printing Research Group is looking to recruit a Research Fellow/Research Assistant in Additive Manufacturing.
The post-holder is expected to contribute to activities including but not limited to:
- Design, develop and optimise computer aided design parts for Multi-material Additive Manufacturing
- Undertake advanced FEA mechanical and thermal analysis combined with topological optimisation, generative design and Design for Manufacturing
- Perform Design of Experiments by simulation and multiscale modelling
- Perform modelling for mechanical analysis of joints
- Organise and support training sessions, organising workshops and hackathons
- Support project management activities such as report writing, documentation, facilitation of meetings, attending meetings (local and overseas)
- Undertake tasks including managing proposal / grant writing preparation
The successful applicant is expected to have a high level of initiative and an ability to work both collaboratively and independently. The candidate is expected to be able to travel locally and nationally. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required and the ability to quickly adapt to a multinational environment is advantageous. The ideal candidate should have experience in training and teaching materials and will need to be confident in the use of various CAD software packages (for example Solidworks, Fusion360, Ansys, etc.). Knowledge of Multi-Material Additive Manufacturing is desirable for this role. Please refer to the post-description for the full post-profile.
