The Role
We are seeking a Research Assistant in Health Economics to join the Health Economics Group within the Population Health Sciences Institute, Newcastle University.

Your role will be to develop and undertake economic evaluations alongside intervention studies to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of health care, public health and social care interventions. This will include developing analysis plans, design, conduct and analysis of costing studies, cost-effectiveness analysis and cost-consequence analysis and evidence synthesis.

You will be part of a thriving Health Economics Group and must be willing to work in multidisciplinary teams and institutions.

You will need to be highly motivated, with strong quantitative skills. You will be expected to have completed an MSc in Health Economics (or in a subject with a high content of quantitative analysis) as a minimum.

As part of our commitment to career development for research staff, the University has developed three levels of research role profiles. These profiles set out firstly, the generic competences and responsibilities expected of role holders at each level and secondly, the general qualifications and experiences needed for entry at a particular level.

The post is full-time, fixed term for 2 years in first instance.
