About the Role

The purpose this post is to support the evaluation of a social needs screening programme in East London, development of Living Maps of What Works to address inequalities in primary care using Eppi Reviewer software and writing of evidence briefings for Integrated Care Systems based on the Living Map.

The role is an exciting opportunity to combine evaluation skills with policy and practice impact while also learning about machine learning techniques. The successful applicant will work in the newly formed Health Equity Evidence Centre and innovative new centre that will generate data on What Works to address health inequalities.

In this role you will be responsible for the evaluation of the social needs screen programme and development and maintenance of the Living Map using Eppi Reviewer software. You will support the development of grant applications as appropriate, and advise junior staff on the use of Eppi Reviewer. You will also be expected to undertake reasonable administrative and additional duties that are expected of a member of research staff.

About You

The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of health and care inequalities, knowledge of theoretical frameworks, and experience of undertaking equity focused research. You must have a PhD in a relevant area, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team. Candidates would also benefit from having experience of grant writing, the use of Eppi Reviewer software, and supervising research assistants.
