Our successful Joint Institute with highly ranked partner Beijing Jiaotong University (BJTU), opened in 2016 and has grown rapidly. Located at the eastern end of Shandong Province, Weihai is a major seaport and popular holiday destination due to its long coastline and abundant sandy beaches. Teachers on assignment are provided with apartment accommodation adjacent to the campus in Nanhai New District.

You should be a committed and reflective educator with a desire to innovate and contribute to the collegial atmosphere of the campuses. Enthusiasm to travel and work in China is essential. We are particularly interested in candidates who can deliver wide-ranging and excellent teaching in areas related to Electronic and Communications Engineering such as Broadband Networks, Network Systems and research skills more generally - at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You will contribute to the intellectual life of the Joint Institute through excellence in teaching and research. Research interests should be aligned with the research groups in the School of Engineering.
Lancaster University ranks 141 out of more than 1000 Universities in the QS World University Rankings. The University is a charter member of Athena SWAN and has held a Bronze award since 2008, in recognition of good employment practice to address gender equality in higher education and research.
