University of Bristol Students’ Health Service is a GP practice for University students and their dependents. We are looking to recruit a healthcare assistant to work 3 days (21 hours) per week (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday).


We are a close and friendly primary care practice team that includes GPs, nurses, pharmacists, psychologists and other allied professionals at an award winning university health service. Situated within a purpose built practice in a beautiful setting.


We would encourage a visit to the practice to meet the team prior to application.

As an HCA you will support the work of the clinical staff and have responsibility for a range of clinical and administrative duties, e.g. phlebotomy (taking blood), taking observations, urinalysis, acting as a chaperone for coil clinics, ordering medical supplies, and stocking up clinical rooms.

You are a highly motivated, enthusiastic, Health Care Assistant with experience in a Primary Care setting, ideally with a special interest in the health of young people.

Contract type: Part time / Open ended

Grade: D

Salary: £24,044 - £25,148 per annum

School/Unit: Students Health Service

Shift pattern: Monday to Wednesday 8:00 am - 16:00pm
