About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the maintenance team at the University of Leicester. You will be working as part of a great team providing support to the wider university.

At the University of Leicester, full-time staff members can enjoy a generous holiday entitlement of 41 days, made up of 27 days of annual leave plus 6 university closure days and 8 bank holidays. This is on a pro rata basis for part-time members of staff. Not only that, but you'll also enjoy generous employer pension contributions.
The salary for this role would be comparable to an hourly rate between £14.43 and £17.34, dependant on previous skills and experience. This is paid as an annual salary based on 35 hours per week.
About you
You will have a minimum of City and Guilds level 2 (or equivalent NVQ) in Plumbing combined with significant work experience in a similar role. You should have excellent working knowledge and a good grasp of the Health and Safety practices associated with mechanical/building services.
You will be a hard working team player who takes a genuine pride in your work and someone who enjoys communicating with a range of people as you complete your daily duties. You will be happy working as part of a larger team to carry out reactive maintenance services across the University, supporting colleagues when the need arises.
If you are happy to be part of a rota to complete checks and willing to train and learn new skills, this role is for you.
