As Employer Engagement Officer, you will enhance the graduate employment prospects of students and make a positive contribution to Graduate Outcomes by widening and deepening the relationships between employers and the University. Supporting the Employer Engagement Manager within the Student Futures Directorate in the delivery of employment engagement initiatives, you will build new and maintain employer relationships.
We want you to be able to carry out your work in a way that best supports UON and our students, but also you as an individual. We understand this may vary between different areas of the university as well as from one person to another. With Smarter Working you can work with increased flexibility, if you would like to, which can facilitate greater freedom and autonomy.
About you
- You have a track record in relationship building with employers for mutual benefit
- Knowledge of the issues facing employers and how to develop solutions to help address these
- Experience in developing relationships with external partners to enhance support to students
- Commitment to high standard of customer/student care with excellent attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills particularly in relation to working with students, employers and university colleagues
- A track record of working empathetically with students from diverse backgrounds to enable them to maximise their potential
- Experience of managing successful client/stakeholder relationships
- Commitment and demonstratable experience in the capture and management of customer relationship data in a wide range of systems and processes
- Ability to analyse and interpret results of own research and generate original ideas based on outcomes
- Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
Essential Qualification
First degree qualification in relevant subject or relevant experience
