The Cambridge Conservation Initiative (CCI) is a unique partnership between the University of Cambridge and ten leading global conservation organisations (BirdLife International, British Trust for Ornithology, Cambridge Conservation Forum, Fauna & Flora, International Union for the Conservation of Nature, Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, Traffic International, Tropical Biology Association, Wildlife Conservation Society and the United Nations Environment Programme-World Conservation Monitoring Centre). CCI aims to conserve and restore life on Earth, towards a diverse world where nature and people thrive. CCI supports the University's broader sustainability goals by uniting leaders in research, education, policy and practice to transform international biodiversity conservation.
The Digital Fundraising Coordinator is a full-time role reporting to the Head of Strategy and Special Programmes but involves close collaboration with the Head of Communications and Impact within the Executive Director's Office and this programme's Director. As the lead fundraiser, you will shape and deliver fundraising and spending strategies, leveraging your experience with fundraising CRM databases, Microsoft Office, and ideally, digital marketing tools (outlined in the further particulars).
This high-profile programme (albeit confidential at present) demands professionalism, discretion and the ability to perform under pressure, especially as it approaches public launch. As the programme launch timelines are uncertain, we are looking for an individual who can manage and deliver to deadlines that are tight and/or changing without compromising on quality.
Success in this role requires a self-starter with exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. You should be confident building relationships across diverse stakeholders and experienced in planning and executing impactful digital fundraising campaigns.
This position is a fixed term contract for 18 months in the first instance however we are expecting additional funding which would extend this contract further if received.
