IT Services is a central department that supports the entire University in achieving its academic and research goals through the innovative use of technology. Within IT Services, the Programme and Projects Delivery Group (PPDG) brings together specialists in programme and project management, business analysis, testing, training, communications, and change management to ensure the effective delivery of digital initiatives across the University.

About the Role

We are recruiting for x3 Business Change Managers to support the delivery of IT initiatives that improve business processes and enhance the use of technology across the University.

You’ll be part of a collaborative delivery team, supporting the leadership and implementation of change across various portfolios, including Administration, Education, Engagement and Dissemination.

You’ll work closely with stakeholders to ensure that staff and students are supported and ready for new ways of working as part of our ongoing digital transformation. This includes assessing the scale and impact of change, designing appropriate change strategies, and coordinating communications and training activities.

You’ll play a vital role in helping the University realise the benefits of its digital initiatives, working in both traditional and Agile environments. The role offers a unique opportunity to make a real difference to the way services are experienced by students and staff, while being part of a talented, supportive, and forward-thinking team.

About You

We’re looking for people who can:

  • Demonstrate experience of change management in a complex organisation with multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Understand how people experience and respond to change, particularly in the context of technology and business process improvement.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with diverse stakeholders and communicate with clarity and impact.
  • Adapt to different delivery contexts, including Agile, iterative development, and continuous improvement approaches.
  • Work independently and collaboratively, showing initiative, sound judgment, and a structured approach to planning and problem-solving.
