What will you be doing?
In this role, you will support the development, planning and implementation of projects and initiatives within the Southampton Coordinating Centre and across the wider NIHR. Key tasks include:
- Producing, updating and managing project documentation to ensure smooth delivery and decision-making.
- Assisting with clear and effective communications, such as reports, presentations and updates for key stakeholders.
- Coordinating and servicing meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes and following up on actions.
- Providing administrative support for projects, including monitoring of project plans and documentation, tracking deadlines and conducting background research.
This role will provide you with hands-on experience and exposure to project management tools and methods, offering a solid foundation for your career.

- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise, and manage your workload.
- Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in everything you do.
- Great communication skills, enabling you to build relationships and work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- A flexible and problem-solving attitude when approaching tasks, with a willingness to learn and grow.
