Job Description

The University of Khorfakkan seeks an outstanding academic in Public International Law. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses, contribute to research, and actively participate in faculty development. Applicants must be proficient in both Arabic and English. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the relevant disciplines.
  • Conduct high-quality research and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects.
  • Develop and enhance academic programs and curricula.
  • Contribute to accreditation processes in compliance with UAE regulations.
  • Undertake administrative tasks assigned by the university.
  • Engage in community service and professional development.
  • Provide academic advising and mentorship to students. 

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Ph.D. in Law specializing in Public International Law.
  • Ideally at least three years of teaching experience at a recognized university.
  • A strong publication record in internationally indexed journals (preferably Scopus).
  • Experience in supervising research projects and theses.
  • Familiarity with accreditation processes, particularly in the UAE.
  • Ability to secure research funding and lead research projects.
  • Experience in online and digital learning environments is preferred.

  • Effective teaching skills at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Proven research excellence with indexed publications.
  • Ability to foster partnerships with industry and community stakeholders.
  • Strong commitment to academic service and program development.
  • Experience with online/e-learning methodologies.
  • Proficiency in integrating technology into teaching.
