Professorship of Dermatology and Venerology
The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Zurich invites applications for a Professorship of Dermatology and Venerology.
The Professorship is based at the Department of Dermatology of the University Hospital Zurich and represents the subject in research, teaching and patient care. The professor will be appointed as head of the department. The clinic covers the entire spectrum of dermatological diseases and allergology, with a special focus on dermato-oncology and inflammatory skin diseases.
We are looking for a dynamic, integrative personality with extensive scientific and clinical experience in dermatology. A focus on dermato-oncology with corresponding international visibility is mandatory. The willingness for interdisciplinary cooperation, in particular with the Comprehensive Cancer Center Zurich (CCCZ), is mandatory. The successful candidate will have a specialist title in dermatology and venereology (Facharzt für Dermatologie und Venerologie) as well as a habilitation or equivalent scientific qualification. As he or she will take over the management of the Department of Dermatology, experience as a director or deputy director of a clinical department at a university hospital level is expected. In addition, the successful candidate will have experience in the management of a research group and clinical trials, the acquisition of competitive third-party funding as well as in student teaching, the supervision of qualification theses and the promotion of young academics.
