Offer Description

The functions to be carried out within the project CM/DEMG/2024- 046 are as follows: The person hired will develop cataloging, inventory, cleaning, consolidation and study of materials especially organic (wood and plant fibers) of the Cueva de los Murciélagos de Albuñol (Granada) project. In addition, he will perform research support tasks such as graphic documentation of materials or study by microscopy. In addition, he/she will be in charge of the management of the project's social networks. Previous experience in these tasks will be an asset, although training in all of them will be offered.

Full-time dedication: 37.5 h/week. Director: Francisco Martínez Sevilla. History and Philosophy Dept. Gross monthly salary: 2566.49 € (from this amount will be subtracted the employer's contribution and the days 

Las funciones a desarrollar dentro del proyectos CM/DEMG/2024- 046 son: La persona contratada desarrollará labores de catalogación, inventario, limpieza, consolidación y estudio de materiales especialmente orgánicos (maderas y fibras vegetales) del proyecto Cueva de los Murciélagos de Albuñol (Granada). Además, realizará tareas de apoyo a la investigación como documentación gráfica de materiales o estudio mediante microscopia. De manera complementaria se ocupará de la gestión de las redes sociales del proyecto. Se valorará la experiencia previa en dichas tareas, si bien se ofrecerá formación en todas ellas.

Dedicación tiempo completo: 37.5 h/semana. Director: Francisco Martínez Sevilla. Dep. Historia y Filosofía  . Salario Bruto mensual: 2566.49 €(de este importe de detraerá la cuota patronal y los días por indemnización).

Skills/Qualifications

Qualifications required: Bachelor's or Master's degree in History, Archaeology or Biology.

Other requirements: The selected person must have experience in archaeological field and laboratory work, preferably in prehistoric archaeology. Knowledge and interest in database management and cataloging of archaeological assemblages, as well as in the use of microscopy and digital documentation of archaeological materials will be an asset. The use of spoken and written English, knowledge of database management software and digital editing would also be an asset.

Titulación exigida: Graduado o máster en Historia, Arqueología o Biología

Otros requisitos: La persona seleccionada debe contar con experiencia en trabajo arqueológico de campo y laboratorio, preferentemente en arqueología prehistórica. Se valorarán conocimientos e interés en la gestión de bases de datos y catalogación de conjuntos arqueológicos, así como en el uso de microscopia y documentación digital de materiales arqueológicos. Se valorará también el uso del idioma inglés hablado y escrito, conocimientos de software de gestión de bases de datos y edición digital.
