Las funciones a desarrollar dentro del proyectos CM/DEMG/2024-039 son: La incorporación del investigador propuesto proporcionará experiencia adicional en áreas críticas, como el desarrollo de algoritmos de Machine Learning (ML) y Deep Learning (DL) aplicados a situaciones convectivas, o el diseño e implementación de sistemas de alerta temprana para eventos extremos. Según el plan del proyecto, hay tareas que requieren una dedicación adicional para cumplir con los plazos establecidos, especialmente aquellos paquetes de trabajo relacionados con el desarrollo de modelos híbridos y su aplicación a casos reales. 

La contratación del investigador garantizará la optimización de recursos y el cumplimiento de los entregables, como, por ejemplo, dentro de los paquetes 2 y 3, los entregables E2.2 o E3.2.El nuevo investigador se encargará de participar en el desarrollo y mejora de algoritmos, recopilar y analizar bases de datos provenientes de Iberdrola y repositorios públicos, implementar sistemas de transferencia de conocimiento entre modelos y aplicaciones específicas, así como colaborar en la publicación y difusión de los resultados del proyecto en revistas o conferencias internacionales.

Estas tareas requieren dedicación exclusiva y competencias que no pueden ser cubiertas por los actuales miembros del equipo, dado que ya tienen sus roles asignados en tareas clave. El equipo actual dedica entre el 10% y el 30% de su tiempo al proyecto, lo que no es suficiente para abordar todas las tareas planificadas, por lo que la experiencia y habilidades del nuevo investigador complementarían las competencias del equipo actual, favoreciendo la capacidad del equipo para cumplir con los objetivos del proyecto.

Dedicación tiempo completo: 37.5 h/semana. Director: Jorge Pérez Aracil. Dep. Teoría de la Señal y Comunicaciones.  Salario Bruto mensual: 2566,49 €(de este importe de detraerá la cuota patronal y los días por indemnización).

The functions to be developed within the project CM/DEMG/2024-039 are: The incorporation of the proposed researcher will provide additional expertise in critical areas, such as the development of Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL) algorithms applied to convective situations, or the design and implementation of early warning systems for extreme events. According to the project plan, there are tasks that require additional dedication to meet the established deadlines, especially those work packages related to the development of hybrid models and their application to real cases. 

The new researcher will be responsible for participating in the development and improvement of algorithms, compiling and analyzing databases from Iberdrola and public repositories, implementing knowledge transfer systems between models and specific applications, as well as collaborating in the publication and dissemination of the project results in international journals or conferences.

These tasks require exclusive dedication and competencies that cannot be covered by the current team members, since they already have their roles assigned in key tasks. The current team dedicates between 10% and 30% of its time to the project, which is not enough to address all the planned tasks, so the experience and skills of the new researcher would complement the competencies of the current team, favoring the team's ability to meet the project's objectives.

Full-time dedication: 37.5 h/week. Director: Jorge Pérez Aracil. Signal Theory and Communications Dept.  Gross monthly salary: 2566,49 € (from this amount will be subtracted the employer's contribution and the days for compensation).
