MOTIVATION, TASKS, AND DURATION
The specific tasks to be carried out under this contract will focus on supporting research and dissemination of
results in the project's remaining activities as it nears completion, including specifically:
- Collecting, labeling, and processing image datasets for individual and behavior detection.
- Defining, training, and validating Machine Learning models.
- Collaborating in general research tasks related to the writing, publication, and dissemination of the project's
scientific results.

Skills/Qualifications

A minimum qualification of a Bachelor's degree, Engineering, or equivalent is required.
As detailed in the merit evaluation criteria, candidates must hold a higher education degree (Bachelor’s or above)
in fields related to the project (Computational Sciences and Biological or Behavioral Sciences).
Relevant degrees in Computational Sciences include Software Engineering, Telematics Engineering, Data Science,
or similar.
Relevant degrees in Biological or Behavioral Sciences include Psychology, Biology, Medicine, or similar.
Degrees considered relevant to both disciplines include Bioinformatics, Ecoinformatics, Computational Medicine,
or similar.

Eligibility criteria

In addition to meeting the minimum requirements, candidates will be assessed based on the quality of their higher
education and the quantity and quality of their professional and scientific experience directly related to the project
in the fields of Computational Sciences and Biological or Behavioral Sciences. Specifically, the following will be
taken into account:
A) HIGHER EDUCATION (Maximum 10 points)
- A1. Academic record of the relevant Bachelor's or equivalent degree : 4 points.
- A2. Academic record of the relevant Master's or equivalent degree : 3 points.
- A3. Multidisciplinarity (holding degrees in both related areas) : 3 points.
B) PROFESSIONAL AND SCIENTIFIC EXPERIENCE (Maximum 10 points)
- B1. Accredited experience in tasks directly related to the contract : 5 points.
-- 0.25 points per month (full-time or equivalent) of documented work or research experience with
a contract, grant, or similar in research related to Bioinformatics, Computational Medicine, Omics Technologies,
Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or Deep Learning (compatible with other sections in this category).
-- 0.15 points per training course, project, software development, or similar that certifies experience
in scientific programming (compatible with other sections in this category).
- B2. Accredited experience in scientific and technical publications and communications : 5 points.
-- 1.00 point per related publication as the principal author in the JCR ranking with extraordinary
impact (top 10% of the ranking and over 100 external citations within five years).
-- 0.50 points per related publication as the principal author in JCR Q1 or communication ranked
GII-GRIN-SCIE (A++, or A+).
-- 0.25 points per related publication as the principal author in JCR Q2 or communication ranked
GII-GRIN-SCIE (A, or A-).
-- 0.15 points per related publication as the principal author in JCR Q3 or communication ranked
GII-GRIN-SCIE (B, or B-).
-- 0.10 points per related publication as the principal author in JCR Q4.
-- 0.10 points per publication or communication in a book chapter.
-- 0.10 points per publication or communication at an international conference.
-- 0.05 points per publication or communication at a national conference.
C) OTHER CRITERIA (Maximum 5 points)
- C1. English proficiency (equivalent to or above B2 level) : 1 point.
- C2. Personal interview with the top three candidates : 4 points.
NOTES ON CRITERIA AND MERIT EVALUATION
- A candidate will be considered the principal author of a scientific publication if they are listed as the first author,
if the publication includes an explicit statement confirming their primary role (either individually or equally shared
with other co-authors) in writing the article, conducting the experiments, and analyzing the results, or if their
primary role can be demonstrated by other means.
- The score of a scientific publication will be multiplied by a 0.5 coefficient if there are more than four declared
principal authors (co-authors sharing equal status) or if the total number of authors exceeds six.
- If any candidate surpasses the maximum score in any section, all scores will be normalized so that the highestrated
candidate receives the maximum possible score.
 


Selection process

- If no candidate reaches 40% of the maximum score, the selection process will be declared void.
- Candidates who do not reach 40% of the maximum score in the "HIGHER EDUCATION" section will be
automatically rejected, provided there are other candidates who meet this criterion.
- Candidates who score less than 25% of the maximum in the "PROFESSIONAL AND SCIENTIFIC EXPERIENCE"
section will also be automatically rejected, provided there are other candidates who meet this criterion.
- If only one candidate meets the hiring requirements, the interview will be omitted and the candidate will be
granted max score in this section.
