POSITION OVERVIEW

ICFO is seeking a motivated and talented individual for the position of Project Manager (PM) and Writer/Narrator. This temporary, project-based position is crucial in assisting ICFO’s Executive Team and collaborators in designing and developing an engaging, impactful, and innovative exhibition that will showcase ICFO’s work and inspire the public with the wonders of light science and photonics

In this role, the selected candidate will:


  • Work closely with ICFO’s Executive Team and collaborators to conceptualize and design the structure of a new exhibition.
  • Develop initial content and scripts, including narratives, storytelling elements, and key messages tailored to different audiences (scientific, educational, and general public).
  • Manage timelines, deliverables, and communication with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth progress from concept to implementation.
  • Provide creative ideas for integrating multimedia elements, interactive experiences, and cutting-edge technologies into the exhibition design.
  • Act as the main liaison between design/exhibition agencies and ICFO, ensuring alignment with the institute’s vision and standards.
  • Conduct research, interviews, and content reviews to ensure accuracy, clarity, and relevance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Content Development: : Write, edit, and refine engaging, accurate, and accessible content for the exhibition. Create scripts for video, audio, or live narration.
  • Project Management: : Oversee the exhibition design process, develop schedules, coordinate stakeholders, and track milestones and budgets.
  • Creative Contribution: : Propose innovative ideas for exhibition formats, visual elements, and presentation techniques to enhance audience engagement.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: : Work with scientists, communication specialists, artists, architects, designers, curators, and external contractors to ensure a cohesive outcome.
  • Quality Assurance: Review all deliverables to ensure consistency with ICFO’s messaging and scientific rigor.
