Offer Description
VHIR offers vacant position for a Bioinformatics Researcher within the Rheumatology Research Group. Under the supervision of Dr Antonio Julià, the candidate will develop their doctoral studies in the translational research of Immune-Mediated Inflammatory Diseases. The group has a longstanding and internationally recognized experience in translational research using cutting-edge technologies for this group of prevalent diseases.
Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) is a public sector institution, located in Barcelona (Spain) that promotes and develops innovative biomedical research at the University Hospital Vall d'Hebron.
Main responsibilities and duties:
- Develop a PhD focused on translational research in rheumatological diseases using different omic approaches
- Analysis design, implementation and reporting
- Manuscript and grant writing

Education and qualifications:
Required:
- Degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences, or related fields
- Good academic record
- Master’s degree required for admission to the doctoral program
Experience and knowledge:Required:
- Knowledge on current Bioinformatics techniques and computing in R and Python
- Fluency in English
Desired:
- Valuable: Experience in single cell transcriptomics and/or immune related diseases

Labour conditions:
- Full-Time position (40 hours per week)
- Gross Annual Salary: 20,600€ and increasing yearly up to 26,900€ (Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale)
- Starting date: Immediate
