Offer Description

The Neuroradiology Group at the Vall Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) is looking for a postdoctoral Scholar with previous experience in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). This position will be full-time with 4 years duration. Vall Hebron is one of the largest public hospitals in Spain. The proposal is to work in close collaboration with neuroradiologists and neurologists, in additional projects carried out by the research group. The position will be mentored by Dr. Deborah Pareto. Main responsibilities and duties:

  • Development and optimization in the acquisition protocol of novel MRI sequences
  • Implementation of the specific analysis pipelines, from quality control to statistical analysis of the measured outcomes
  • Writing scientific papers
  • Collaborate with neuroradiologists and neurologists in satellite projects

Skills/Qualifications

Education and qualifications:

Required:

  • PhD qualified in relevant subject area (brain imaging, magnetic resonance imaging)
  • Experience in computer programming
  • Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team, collaborating mostly with clinicians
  • Previous record of publications
  • Fluency in English

Desired:

  • Expertise in Python programming for Machine and Deep Learning, e.g., sklearn, pytorch, tensorflow.
  • Experience in advanced statistical analysis models
  • Experience working with large imaging datasets
  • Experience in advanced MRI sequence and analysis

Labour conditions:

  • Full-timeposition: 40 hours/week.
  • Starting date: February
  • Gross annual salary: minimum salary as stated at the conditions of the application, but it will be complemented according to experience and skills.
  • Contract: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to the project activities
