4 predoc contracts of 1 year for women talent retention

Who are we looking for?

CTTC is offering research 4 contracts of one year to women PhD students in the framework of the Women in STEM Program, for women talent retention. Specifically, we are offering to complete the 4th year of their PhD to highly motivated women talent candidates, who have already performed their 3-year PhD started at CTTC and with a strong interest in performing research for pursuing and completing their theses (towards their defense) in CTTC cutting edge technological areas, such as artificial intelligence for wireless, neuromorphic computing, remote sensing, quantum communications, 6G satellite systems or ultra massive MIMO, among others.

Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for highly motivated women PhD students, aiming at completing their PhD thesis towards the final defense. The successful applicant should have competencies of R1A research category.

• Required qualification/skills/experience:
• Candidates must be women PhD students
• Their PhD studies had been conducted at CTTC
• Candidates must not have any predoctoral contract or laboral contract with the CTTC at the moment of the deadline of this call
• Candidates must not have carried out more that 36 months of contract before this call
• Candidates must be at an advanced stage of their PhD and commit to submitting their thesis before the end of this contract
• Candidates must be enrolled in a PhD official program in a Spanish university at the moment of applying to this call
• Good competencies associated with their university degrees related to Telecom/Electrical Engineering/Computer Science/Geomatics and to CTTC technologies areas.
• Strong oral and written English communication skills.

Who are we?

• The Center Tecnològic de Telecomunicaciones de Catalunya (CTTC) is a non-profit public sector research institution dedicated to fundamental and applied research activities, focused mainly on technologies related to the physical, data link and network layers of communication systems and Geomatics.
• CTTC received the "HR Excellence in Research" award in 2015 from the European Commission.
