Offer Description

We are looking for a psychologist to participate in a research action within the ACROMICS research project (IP M. Puig-Domingo and E. Valassi), which deals with different pituitary diseases, mainly acromegaly.

The work will consist in coordinating the final recruitment of cases with their clinical information: 

  • Carrying out a psychological evaluation using various instruments, mostly of a neuropsychological nature.
  • Evaluation of quality of life by means of specific and validated instruments.

This activity is linked to various international research activities coordinated by Dr Elena Valassi, who will be the direct supervisor.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties to be performed:

  • Patient recruitment (contact, schedule visits, demographic information).
  • Questionnaires administration and their evaluation; report writing.
  • Data set organization and analysis.
  • Scientific papers writing.
  • Congresses and scientific meetings attendance.

  • Personal skills: good communication and public speaking skills, ability to work in a team, high research motivation.

    The Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) is a public research centre located in Badalona. Its main objective is to increase scientific knowledge in order to transform it into solutions to improve the health and medical care of patients and the community.

    The Institute is associated with one of the major university hospitals in the Barcelona area, the Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital , and is part of the Can Ruti biomedical campus.
