Lecturer (Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering)

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the National University of Singapore (NUS) is seeking a candidate at the rank of Lecturer (Educator Track) to teach electrical and computer engineering courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.  Candidates with expertise in areas related to artificial intelligence and machine learning, computer engineering, and/or semiconductor technologies and operations will have an advantage.

Education is a core mission of NUS, and the Educator Track of faculty positions has been conceived as a career progression path for excellent teachers and educational leaders. In NUS, the general expectations for commitments to teaching for an academic staff on Educator Track is up to 2 times the normal teaching commitment of a Tenure Track staff, although the precise teaching commitment is decided on a case-by-case basis depending on the needs of the Department. For Educator Track faculty, some record of disciplinary research (particularly research that informs teaching) is considered an advantage but not a requirement.  Besides teaching, the candidate is also expected to contribute actively to service roles and the Department’s outreach efforts.

The successful candidate must have an earned doctorate in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering or an allied field.  PhD students who are about to submit their PhD theses are also welcome to apply.
