Required Qualifications/Experience

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral studies
• English communication skills
• Supervises PhD students and manages doctoral programs, with at least 5 years of experience

Responsibilities in the Project

• Participates in project meetings to identify potential joint doctoral programs
• Initiates PhD student exchanges and integrates them into joint degree or double degree collaboration agreements

General Conditions for Participation

Candidates who meet the following cumulative conditions may participate in the competition for the above-listed positions:

Hold Romanian citizenship or citizenship of another European Union member state, a state party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (EEA), or Swiss Confederation citizenship.

Have proficiency in the Romanian language, both written and spoken.

Have work capacity in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 53/2003 – the Labor Code, as republished and subsequently amended.

Have a health condition suitable for the position they are applying for, certified by a medical certificate issued by a general practitioner or authorized medical institution.

Meet the educational and professional experience requirements, as well as any other specific conditions required for the position.

Have no final convictions for crimes against national security, authority, humanity, corruption, service offenses, forgery, or obstruction of justice, or any intentional offenses that would make them incompatible with the contractual position they are applying for, unless they have been rehabilitated.

Have not been subject to an additional penalty prohibiting them from holding the position, practicing the profession, or engaging in the activity they used to commit the offense, nor have they been subject to a security measure prohibiting employment in a function or profession.

Have not committed the offenses stipulated in Article 1, paragraph (2) of Law No. 118/2019 regarding the National Automated Register of Persons Who Have Committed Sexual Offenses, Exploitation, or Crimes Against Minors, as well as for supplementing Law No. 76/2008 on the Organization and Functioning of the National Judicial Genetic Data System, with subsequent amendments, for the areas specified in Article 35, paragraph (1), letter h).

Application Process

The competition consists of an evaluation of the submitted applications. Each candidate must submit an application file either in physical format or online at proiecte.structurale@ucv.ro , which must include the following documents:

Application letter addressed to the Rector of the University of Craiova, requesting registration for the competition for the vacant position, dated, signed, and submitted within the legal deadline.

Copy of an identity document and copies of documents proving any name changes, if applicable.

Copy of the bachelor's degree diploma.

Certificates, diplomas, or attestations proving the knowledge, experience, and implementation capacity required for each position.

European-format Curriculum Vitae.

For those selected for employment, the following additional documents will be required; therefore, it is recommended to submit them at this selection stage:

Medical certificate in accordance with Annex No. 1 and No. 2 of Order No. 4060/1502/2024 of March 27, 2024, regarding the approval of medical approvals for teaching and auxiliary teaching positions in higher education.

Criminal record certificate or a sworn statement confirming no criminal convictions that would make the candidate incompatible with the position, with the requirement to submit the original criminal record certificate before the first stage of the competition.

Behavioral integrity certificate proving that the candidate has not committed offenses under Article 1, paragraph (2) of Law No. 118/2019, for candidates applying for positions in education, healthcare, social protection, or any public or private entity that involves direct contact with children, elderly persons, individuals with disabilities, or other vulnerable groups, or that requires physical examination or psychological evaluation of individuals.
