Offer Description

A full-time job for a professor in a group of research staff at the AGH Space Technology Centre.  

Job responsibilities:

  • to develop a research program based on innovative thinking and scientific excellence The program needs to be complementary to the state of the art in the fields of modeling and simulation 
    of the properties of new materials, new materials manufacturing technologies, and advancement 
    of materials for satellite structures,
  • leading a research program at an international level, focusing on the design and implementation 
    of material technologies intended for exploration in the space environment,
  • to apply for funding at national and international sources, including support from the space industry sector; as part of their research activities, they will foster international partnerships with academic institutions, stakeholders, and industrial partners.

     

Subject aera: space technologies, materials for space applications, manufacturing technologies for composites designed for exploitation in space.

Skills/Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

  • the title of professor in the field of engineering and technical sciences and a professional record entitling the candidate to be employed as a professor,
  • declared field of science: Engineering and technology,
  • documented significant scientific achievements in the area of materials engineering, design and testing of composites,
  • documented research fellowship at a foreign university (outside the country of permanent employment) or another equivalent research unit (minimum period of 6 months),
  • experience in carrying out scientific-research projects,
  • experience in acquiring funds for scientific research projects and managing research projects,
  • experience in international cooperation,
  • participation in scientific conferences,
  • exemplary excellent ethical attitude (accordant with:www.agh.edu.pl/o-agh/dokumenty/inne/kodeks-etyczny-agh ),
  • knowledge of English at B-2 level at least.

     

  • Additional beneficial skillsdocumented, significant teaching experience


    Specific Requirements

    The candidate should meet the requirements set out in the Act of 20 July 2018 - Law on Higher Education and Science (i.e. 2023 Journal of Laws, item 742, as amended), hereinafter referred to as “the Act”. Work 
    and payment conditions as per the applicable Act.
