Eligibility criteria:The competition is open to persons who meet the requirements set out in Articles 113, 116(2)(3) of the Act of 20 July 2018. Specific Requirements
Essential and desired requirements:
1. doctoral degree in forestry, earth sciences, economic sciences or related disciplines; doctoral degree obtained outside the Agricultural University of Cracow not earlier than 7 years before the year of employment in the project or at least 10-month post doc internship in a unit other than the project provider and in a country other than the country where the doctoral degree was obtained;
2. a well-established scientific record as evidenced by publications in international journals and conference proceedings;
3. have the ability to conceptualise, design, execute and adapt research in accordance with the principle of scientific integrity;
4. the project leader was not the promoter or assistant promoter of the candidate's dissertation;
5. carrying out research projects or implementation studies in cooperation with the socio-economic environment;
6. knowledge of English at B2 level with a desire for language development and self-improvement;
7. during the period of drawing this remuneration, the candidate will not draw any other remuneration from funds granted as direct costs from research projects financed by NCN competitions;
8. during the period of drawing this remuneration, the candidate will not draw remuneration from another employer on the basis of an employment contract, including from an employer based outside Poland;

Selection process
The first stage of the competition procedure is formal verification of the documents submitted. Offers which pass formal verification are subject to substantive evaluation, during which an interview may be conducted (directly or via electronic communication channels), after prior arrangement of the date with the applicant. A negative assessment by the selection board may be appealed against within 7 days of receiving the information.
Following the outcome of the competition, the candidate qualified for employment will be required to submit information from the Register of Sexual Offenders with restricted access pursuant to § 20(1) of the Ordinance of the Minister of Justice of 31 July 2017 on the procedure, manner and scope of obtaining and providing access to information from the Register with restricted access and the manner of establishing a user account - to be downloaded from https://rps.ms.gov.pl/pl-pl/public#/ and information from the National Criminal Register in accordance with the provisions of ZR No. 2/2025 of 13 January 2025 https://bip.malopolska.pl/urkrakow,a,2595744,zarzadzenie-nr-22025-rekto… .
Candidates who are not citizens of the Republic of Poland are additionally required to submit declarations and documents in accordance with the regulation of Article 21(4) to (7) of the Act of 13 May 2016 on counteracting the threat of sexual offences and protecting minors. The outcome of the competition is not tantamount to employment, the final decision on the employment relationship is taken by the Rector of the University.
