Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering 
Lublin University of Technology 
announces open competition for the assistant position 
in the team of research-teaching employees 
at the Department of Machine Design and Mechatronics
 

Documents required:

  • written application for the competition;
  • covering letter; 
  • CV;
  • the diploma/s copy of graduation from Master’s studies in the field of Mechatronics, Mechanics and machine construction or the related one;
  • copies of the other documents certifying scientific achievements as well as professional and additional qualifications (participation in a project);
  • personal questionnaire of the candidate applying for the employment (see the attached pdf file);
  • candidate’s statement that Lublin University of Technology will be the place of primary employment (see the attached pdf file);
  • candidate’s statement of consent to the processing of personal data necessary in the recruitment process (see the attached pdf file);
  • information from the National Criminal Register concerning offenses specified in Chapters XIX and XXV, Article 189a, and Article 207 of the Penal Code, as well as the Act of July 29, 2005, on Counteracting Drug Addiction, and in the case of individuals holding citizenship of a country other than the Republic of Poland, information from the criminal register of another country or statements referred to in Article 21(5-7) of the Act of May 13, 2016, on Counteracting the Threats of Sexual Crime and Protecting Minors;
  • candidate’s statement that he/she is familiar with the Regulations on Reporting Legal Violations at Lublin University of Technology (see the attached pdf file).

Candidate will be selected based on evaluation of the submitted documents. 


Please be informed that documents of the candidates whose applications are rejected will be shredded in 60 days after the end of competition. If a candidate would like to withdraw his/her documents, they are obliged to inform us while applying.

Skills/Qualifications

Qualifications required:

  • completed Master’s studies in the field of Mechatronics, Mechanics and machine construction or the related one with the grade average minimum 4.5 for the entire course of study (in case of the first and the second cycle studies the grade average for both cycles is required); 
  • knowledge of software used in engineering work, e.g. CAD, C++, Matlab;
  • knowledge of issues related to the research and teaching topics of the department;
  • fluent command of the Polish language in both speaking and writing;
  • good command of the English language;
  • ability to work in a team.

Additional advantage will be:

  • participation in scientific circles or student organizations during studies;
  • scientific achievement including publications in scientific journals and patents;
  • participation in scientific conferences and other events related to engineering and technical sciences;
  • experience in working with industry.

Eligibility criteria

The competition is open to persons who meet the conditions specified in the Act of 20 July 2018 “The Law on Higher Education and Science” (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571 as amended) as well as in the Statute of Lublin University of Technology.
