Position description:

A scientist in the project  “Developing new approaches and structural materials to rebuild damaged Ukrainian infrastructure with environmental sustainability considerations“ funded by the Polish National Science Center (NCN), Agreement No. UMO-2023/05/Y/ST11/00261 is being searched.

 

A scientist will join to the SMtoRDUI project team of Dr Maciej Dutkiewicz, PHD,DSC. The project focuses on:

-              research on 3D printing eco concrete technology, 

-              application of highly and moderately processed waste materials in traditional and 3D printed concrete, 

-              strengthening the interfacial transition zone, 

-              adjustment of rheological properties through tuning of concentrations and types of viscosity modifiers and superplasticizers,

-              deep learning modeling of parameters of cement composites.

The project is realized at the Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology, Poland, Faculty of Civil, Environmental Engineering and Architecture, https://pbs.edu.pl/en/

Tasks:

1.Design mixtures containing different proportions of RCA, GGP, and natural fibers.

2.Design of 3D printing mixture. 

3.Chemical treatment and pre-soaking RCA particles in an acid.

4. Deep learning modeling of parameters of cement composites.

5. Preparation of reports and journal papers based on results analysis.

6.Communication and discussion of results within the research team.

    Conditions of employment:

    A full time position funded with a salary (11666 zł/month). Project will end: 2026-04-23.

  • PhD in civil engineering or relevant field. 
  • Knowledge of written and spoken English.
  • High motivation for scientific work and a strong commitment to research work.
