Offer Description
The appointment is a fulltime position for a period of three years. Research activities will take place in the group headed by Associate Professor Frode Amador Norheim (Molecular Metabolism ). The project includes the use of molecular and cell biology methods, RNA sequencing, lipidomics, cell culture, and dietary interventions in mice.
The research group aims to develop strategies to slow down or reverse the progression of chronic diseases. One of the main focuses of the group is to understand how fatty liver can progress to a condition with liver inflammation and subsequent scarring. The research group collaborates closely with the research groups of Knut Tomas Dalen, Coen Campsteijn, and Gareth Sullivan at the University of Oslo and Oslo University Hospital.
We are seeking highly motivated and competent postdoctoral candidates with broad experience in molecular nutrition and offer skill development in a stimulating academic environment. The main purpose of the fellowship is to qualify researchers for work in higher academic positions within their disciplines.
