Auckland University of Technology (AUT) is seeking a Research Fellow to support the Women's Health and Neuroscience (WHN) Research Programme. This role focuses on a study examining female athletes' concussion blood biomarkers and the relationship between hormones, brain injury, and concussion outcomes. The aim is to improve interventions for female athletes, who may have unique hormonal responses to concussions.

Key responsibilities include patient recruitment, clinical data collection, blood sample analysis, and assisting with ethics applications. The role also involves data analysis, contributing to publications and funding proposals, and sharing findings with key stakeholders, including Abbott USA.

He kōrero mōu | About you

The ideal candidate will have or will be working towards a PhD in neuroscience or a related field, with expertise in traumatic brain injury (mTBI), neuroimaging, or blood biomarkers. A strong track record of research publications, grant writing, and data analysis is essential. The candidate should also be capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
