An exciting opportunity has become available to join our amazing team in AUT's Te Āhuru Recreation Centre.

We are looking for an energetic Recreation Activity Coordinator who will be responsible for the coordination delivery and support of recreation events in Te Āhuru.  Our amazing 3 floor recreation facility is in central Auckland and includes our new Esports Arena. 

In this role you will be a key face of Te Ahura and must have a commitment to student wellbeing.  You'll enjoy building strong internal and external relationships with a variety of stakeholders and will be someone who strives for excellence in all that you do.  This position plays a key role in fostering a sense of belonging, friendship and enduring connections by supporting a wide range of recreational initiatives which traverse Arts, Cultural and traditional recreational activities.

To compliment the current team you'll need to have a passion for Esports, entertainment and social media design.  You'll also need

  • Experience with event delivery and the creation of diverse and engaging recreation activities
  • A sound understanding of recreation administration and promotion
  • Understanding and experience of social media creation.
  • An outgoing personality with and engaging approach to your work.
  • Ability to engage students in creative endeavours.

Salary Range: $59,000 - $78,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)

This role is considered a children's worker role and will be subject to safety checking as part of the Children's Act 2014 .
