iQualify is the world class Learning Experience Platform (LXP) used to deliver flexible, open and distance learning across New Zealand by Open Polytechnic. The iQualify mission is to build, maintain and support the platform, and we take great pride in enabling engaging courseware creation through tasks, social learning, and flexible assessment. 

We are looking for an Intermediate Full Stack Developer to join a broad product team.

The role is responsible for:

  • Software development of features end to end for the iQualify platform
  • Enhancing, improving and maintaining features of the iQualify platform
  • Assisting and maintaining software development application practices

What you'll need:

  • Experience as a Full Stack Developer
  • Extensive programming experience in web application development technologies including Angular, Node JS, Javascript, CSS, HTML(5)
  • Experience with lean, agile and XP development practices
  • Experience with NoSQL and other document databases
  • Experience with effective use of development platforms and tools
  • Loads of passion for helping build incredible learning experiences
  • Experience working within a team in applications development
  • Experience with cloud platforms

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with software platforms and tools to make people's lives easier
  • Is right at home troubleshooting and diagnosing potential issues.  Diving into the technical detail is your thing.
  • Has well-developed problem solving skills - you'll need these every day
  • Is able to think proactively, anticipate problems and work with team members to implement innovative solutions
  • Is a results-orientated approach to initiative
  • Has great relationship building skills
