Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
The Digital Course Developer within the Future Learning and Development team will play a vital role in shaping the online learning experience at UC. You will work collaboratively to turn innovative course designs into interactive, high-quality digital learning environments using modern Learning Management Systems and eLearning authoring tools.  This hands-on role involves building and maintaining online courses, embedding multimedia content, creating quizzes and assessments, and ensuring accessibility standards are met. You'll work closely with Learning Designers, Subject Matter Experts, and media teams to bring learning content to life, ensuring that every course is engaging, pedagogically sound, and aligned with best practices in adult and online learning.

Mōu | Who You Are
To be successful in this role you will have 3-4 years' experience building digital assets and digital content with Learning Management Systems (e.g. Moodle or Totara) within an educational environment. 

Your skills and experience will include:

  • technical skills in eLearning development
  • creative and detail-oriented with strong collaborative approach to problem-solving
  • adaptability, tech-savvy, and committed to delivering high-quality learner experiences
  • at least 2 years' hands-on experience
  • proficiency in eLearning authoring tools (Articulate Rise and Storyline preferred)
  • excellent written communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
  • strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and commitment to quality
  • competency in or a willingness to engage with te reo Māori me ōna tikanga is an advantage.
