The MAScIR Foundation is a non-profit organization affiliated with Mohammed VI Polytechnic University. Description of the position:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team, focusing on material synthesis, surface functionalization, and water treatment technologies. The candidate will be instrumental in conducting advanced material characterization, analyzing behavior and degradation patterns, and contributing to innovative solutions for environmental challenges.
Key Responsibilities:

Research and Development:

  • Conduct bibliographic research to stay informed of the latest advancements in relevant fields.
  • Synthesize materials and design water treatment systems tailored to specific needs.
  • Perform chemical and physical analyses to characterize materials in the laboratory.
  • Develop innovative solutions to address technical challenges.

Field Work and Testing:

  • Monitor material aging and performance at external sites (travel required).
  • Perform on-site measurements and provide detailed reports.
  • Contribute to the design and execution of testing systems.

Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing:

  • Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to achieve project goals.
  • Support the team in drafting publications and preparing conference presentations.
  • Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and other collaborative activities.

Education
A Ph.D. in Materials sciences, or related field.

Requirement
Proven experience in material synthesis and surface functionalization
Hands-on expertise in advanced material characterization techniques
Ability to design, develop, and test experimental water treatment systems
Ability to make positive contribution to the department’s climate
Potential for Evidence of collaboration
