Job Description

We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher specializing in Urban Energy Networks Management, with expertise in developing innovative models to optimize energy consumption in residential sectors, electric mobility, and urban infrastructure. The candidate will design and implement solutions that integrate renewable energy, smart systems, and IoT technologies to tackle the energy challenges of modern cities.

Key Responsibilities

•    Develop models to optimize energy consumption in various domains, including residential energy use and electric mobility.
•    Analyze and model urban energy flows, incorporating renewable energy sources and storage systems.
•    Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate IoT sensor data into energy simulations.
•    Propose innovative solutions to enhance energy efficiency while reducing costs and environmental impact.
•    Contribute to scientific publications and provide recommendations for public policy and decision-makers.

Required Qualifications

•    Ph.D. in electrical engineering, energy and environmental systems, smart grids, or a related field.
•    Proven research experience in energy management, with publications in recognized scientific journals.
•    Strong knowledge of energy network management systems (smart grids, microgrids).
•    Expertise in energy flow analysis and simulation, including production, storage, and consumption.
•    Experience in scenario modeling for various energy applications (domestic energy consumption, electric vehicles, smart buildings).
•    Proficiency in optimization techniques (mathematical algorithms, heuristics, or machine learning) applied to energy management.
•    Experience with modeling and simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, OpenDSS, or EnergyPlus.
•    Familiarity with predictive analytics tools for energy demand forecasting (time series models, machine learning).

•    Strong problem-solving skills in energy management.
•    Ability to lead and manage research projects while working in multidisciplinary teams.
•    A strong track record in publishing high-quality research and presenting at international conferences

•    Fluency in both French and English (written and spoken) is required.
