* Background of the recruitment and description of the project
Research Institute for Microbial Diseases (RIMD)at the University of Osaka, now invites
applications for the position of professor.
The candidates are expected to have outstanding achievements in the field of bacteriology and to demonstrate active engagement in research areas such as the characterization of pathogenic bacteria, elucidating the pathogenesis of bacterial infectious diseases and their treatment and prevention, and the microbiota related to bacterial infections.

* After the appointment, an Associate Professor (or Assistant Professor), an Assistant
Professor, and a Specially-Appointed Researcher (or Specially Appointed Assistant
Professor) will be available for employment.
In addition, research space of approximately 350㎡ and access to common facilities, including the Central Instrumentation Laboratory equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, the Next-Generation Sequencing Core Facility, and the Animal Resource Center for Infectious Diseases, will be provided.
