Applications are invited for a temporary post of a UCD Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 within UCD School of Architecture, Planning and Environmental Policy.

Applications are invited for the position of a full-time 12 month fixed-term position as a Postdoctoral Researcher to work with the Platform4MMC team.

Platform4MMC project is funded by Research Ireland through the National Challenge Fund Sustainable Communities Challenge and has recently received 3rd stage funding. The project will develop a decision-support tool which will aid informed decisions regarding MMC projects based on their viability for a particular project and their total sustainability (social, economic and environmental). In particular, the candidate will help develop metrics to evaluate MMC value and quantify its social sustainability indicators, enabling comparisons with traditional construction counterparts. They will work with the team on developing approaches for integrating heterogenous data types into a single metric.

The successful candidate will have the opportunities to join a motivated team spanning civil and structural engineering, architecture, machine learning, economics, social sciences and environmental sciences and construction industry stakeholders.

PD1 Salary Scale:€44,847 - €51,313 Per Annum
Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.

*Excellent Communication Skills (Oral, Written, Presentation etc).
*Excellent Organisational and Administrative skills including a proven ability to work to deadlines.
